This Soft Shell Crabs is one of the most popular seafood among consumers for its meatiness, distinctively sweet, moist and firm flesh and attractiveness in seafood dishes and platters. As the new shell hasn’t yet formed, the crab is soft and can be eaten in its entirety. Soft-shell crabs are best eaten golden and crisp or sauteed and has a medium to strong flavor.
Soft shells are any crab that has molted within the last 12 hours. During that time the shells are soft and papery, so they can be eaten whole, claw to claw.
