Our Suppliers and Fishermen are fully versed in the SCMFP. We ensure that the fish we purchase is caught in accordance with Sustainable and IUU (Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated) regulations. We do not purchase any fish from vessels which have not complied with IUU regulations.

In honoring our commitment to the ocean and in respect of the ocean species, BD Shrimp Trading have taken steps to encourage sustainable fishing practices in Bangladesh. Together with the BFFEA (Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association) and Bangladeshi Longline Fishery Improvement Project (FIP), BD Shrimp Trading have taken steps to improve the biological and ecological status of Bangladesh’s longline Shrimp and Cuttlefish fisheries and to develop and implement national and international fishery specific management measures that will maintain the biology and ecology towards “Sustainably Managed Fishery”.
